The summer had got off to a quick start. The first day, Ricky, John and Daniel, three brothers who lived in a suburb of Denver, Colorado, got into a great sandlot football game. The three found themselves missing one thing – a team. It was them against 16 other big inner city kids. The other team called themselves the ‘Street Fighters’ which was a minor gang.
Their field was a vacant lot on the western edge of Denver.
The ‘Street Fighters’ took off their shirts for two reasons: To distinguish their team from John, Daniel and Ricky’s and to show off.
