Pigs in the Parlor: A Practical Guide to Deliverance by Frank Hammond – reviewed 5-21-11

Its nearly impossible not to quote CS Lewis on this subject: “There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors, and hail a materialist or magician with the same delight.”
I truly believe in their existence, but I have struggled with what they are actually responsible for in the material world. I feel Hammond’s take leans toward giving them too much credit for what we as humans have caused by our own choice to turn from God. On the other hand, Hammond has been a positive influence in a battle that is “not against flesh & blood”. If we take the Bible seriously, then we must be aware of a spiritual realm that influences us.
