Tornado in a Junkyard: The Relentless Myth of Darwinism by James Perloff – reviewed 4-2-10

This is one of the most powerful books I have read (not just in the field of Creation vs Evolution). Perloff begins the book establishing his credibility (a former atheist into the hippie culture of the 60’s) He then dives into the many many huge problems with The Theory of Evolution doing a fantastic job of dealing with science behind it all. A skeptic may object that Perloff is not a scientist, but if you read the book with an open mind, you can’t refute the logic in his arguments. Not to mention he quotes scores of scientist on both sides of the debate. Any reasonable person will have to give up believing evolution on the basis of evidence and then wonder why the world has been so taken by this theory. He explains that too, showing how society has formed it’s bias against Creation more by movies like Inherit the Wind than by facts. He finishes the book with a condensed version of the Gospel showing how it all fits together perfectly with the Biblical account of Creation. Excellent! I highly recommend it! My only drawback is Perloff’s occasional “hippie jargon” that is dated & will only relate to his generation.
